When the Girls Scouts of Western Washington called for help to replace their annual GLAMP three-day retreat with an online event, due to COVID, Renee Smith Events was happy to help. Together we shifted their in-person weekend to one day of seminars capped by an Livestreamed Auction and Virtual Campfire program. I created their timeline, assisted with auction packaging, developed email content and scripts, secured video and streaming vendors, assisted with program production, and oversaw the online auction proceedings. The highlights of the planning process included filming at the Camp property, including the virtual campfire portion of the regular event, and livestreaming the event with KOMO 4 meteorologist Shannon O’Donnell! It was so fun to help them meet their goal, raising over $85,000, and to continue an annual tradition in a different format.
